30 days. Make them count.

Hudl Wyscout helps college soccer coaches search, scout, and shortlist players across hundreds of leagues before the Portal opens.

The Portal by Numbers

Men's & Women’s Soccer - Nov 23 - Dec 22, 2026

• 2x - The portal has doubled in size since 2018
• 25% - of D1 roster spots turn over via the Portal every year
• 600+ - Women's soccer players enter each cycle
• 650+ - Men's soccer players enter each cycle

The Rules Changed. The Stakes Got Higher.

In 2021, the NCAA dropped the one-time transfer exception. In 2024, it introduced fixed 30-day windows.

The result: over 1,200 players entering the portal every cycle, and a hard deadline to find the right fit, making the Transfer Portal central to roster-building in college soccer.

How Coaches Use Wyscout To Move Faster in the Window

Spend your window deciding, not hunting: Wyscout puts search, video, data, and shortlists in one place.

Search the Transfer Portal Directly
Filter by position, league, age, and stats with transfer eligibility built in, so you’re only ever looking at players who can actually come.

Combine Video & Data
Full match video on every profile, alongside xG, key passes, duels won, and pressing intensity. The stats and footage to validate any shortlist decision.

Shortlist & Compare
Build shortlists, add notes, and compare players side by side, so when the window opens, your staff already knows who to call.

Your next signing is already in the portal.
