Just because football season is over doesn’t mean the hard work stops. Every offseason is a chance for underclassmen to improve their skills in an effort to take their game to the next level. One way to get better this offseason is by attending one of Nike Football’s regional camps.
We’re teaming up with Nike Football and Student Sports for complete video coverage of this year’s Nike Football Opening events. These events are broken down into regionals and combines. Standout athletes will receive invites to attend a given regional, while combines are open to anyone interested in receiving an invite of their own. Registration for these combines is now open.
The camp circuit hits every corner of the country with one event or the other, kicking off in Hawaii earlier this month and wrapping up in Salt Lake City in June. All combines are free to attend but some do have limited capacity, just be sure to check the schedule.
All Nike Football camps lead to The Opening. This is a premiere showcase event featuring the nation’s best in high school football. Athletes are invited to The Opening based on their performance in a regional or combine.
At each regional, participants will receive position-specific coaching from former D-I and NFL coaches and athletes. They’ll have a chance to go up against the top talent in their region and get tested for a verified Nike Football rating, which should come in handy once recruiters come calling. Combines revolve entirely around Nike Football ratings, starting with the timed 40-yard dash and shuttle runs, a power ball toss and vertical jump.
Hudl will be there every step of the way to film all drills and scrimmages. Athletes will have access to this film through their existing Hudl accounts for the sake of adding camp video to their highlight reels.
