Lega Serie A and Hudl Enter Multiple Season Scouting Rights Agreement
Lincoln, Nebraska, 7 Nov. 2024: Hudl, a global leader in sports performance analysis and scouting, is proud to announce a renewal of their partnership with Italy’s Lega Serie A, considered one of the best football leagues in the world.
This three-season agreement covers the following properties: Serie A, Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, EA SPORTS FC Supercup and youth competitions Primavera 1, Coppa Italia Primavera and Supercoppa Primavera. All scouting video and data from the licensed competitions will be made available on Wyscout—the world’s largest database of football video and data. In addition, for the first time on Wyscout, the tactical wide angle for both Serie A and Coppa Italia matches will also be available.
“The agreement with market leader Hudl allows us to best valorise our assets, at a time when the technological evolution of modern football has made match analysis increasingly crucial, both in scouting and in the technical-tactical preparation of matches,” said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo. “Strengthening the collection of these data and statistics, making them available to clubs and professionals, but above all developing new tools for increasingly in-depth analysis, is a strategic target to further raise the level of our coaches and technical staff, and confirm ourselves as a league at the top of European football."
Hudl’s advanced scouting technology and extensive expertise in sports analysis position them as the perfect partner for this collaboration. Leveraging the comprehensive Wyscout platform, Hudl will grant access to hundreds of Lega Serie A competitions’ matches over the multi-season agreement, empowering them to generate data, information and statistics that ensure clubs, coaches and scouts never miss a key moment. With these insights, teams can make more informed decisions in player recruitment and analysis.
“We’re delighted to reach an agreement with Lega Serie A to be able to continue to host Serie A on the Wyscout platform,“ said Hudl’s CEO David Graff. “Providing access to matches of one of the top leagues in the world will support the development of coaches, athletes and analysts at every level. We believe this partnership helps us in our mission to give every athlete the shot they deserve.”
