Streamline Recruitment for Athletes and Coaches With Hudl's New Tools

1 Min Read

In today’s competitive college recruiting landscape, that first 30 seconds of a highlight reel can be the difference in who a coach decides to pursue out of the thousands of athletes who reach out.

That’s why Hudl is continually looking at ways to innovate recruiting tools and resources for our largest and most influential group of customers: the athletes themselves.

Before taking advantage of all the new tools, the athlete must opt in to recruiting on Hudl. Recruiters can always find an athlete's public profile, but when an athlete has opted in to recruiting, recruiters will have access to more of the content that helps them evaluate a recruitable athlete. This includes contact information, academic and athletic stats, and full game videos.

Here's what's new, and what we've improved, for recruiting in Hudl.

Everything in One Place

Say goodbye to the headaches of copying and pasting video links in emails, or downloading and trimming video to send it to a college recruiter. Athletes can create their recruiting profiles on Hudl quickly and easily with highlights and game video added and updated automatically.

Own the Recruiting Journey

An athlete, or a coach on an athlete's behalf, can now send their recruiting profile to college recruiters directly in Hudl. Taking this action will share an athlete’s game video, academic and athletic stats, contact information and any public profile content such as highlight reels.

Personalize the Message

When sending a recruiting profile to a college recruiter, athletes can introduce themselves with a personal message. Recruiters will then get a customized email designed to present an athlete in the most professional way, giving them the best chance of getting noticed. From here, recruiters can continue the conversation with an athlete and follow along for recently updated highlights or game video.

Getting Noticed

Coaches have better visibility to see overall recruiting activity for their team and to have a better pulse on which athletes have sent their Hudl profile to college recruiters.
